3 Day Rwanda Gorilla Safari – Gorilla Trekking Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a driver/guide who transports them northwards to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, home to 360 Mountain Gorillas. They have the option to stay at Gorillas View Hotel (Luxury), La Palme Hotel (Deluxe), or Muhabura Hotel (Budget) for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.
On the second day, you embark on the thrilling adventure of Mountain Gorilla Tracking. In the morning, they transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a briefing by the park warden. The guests are allocated specific gorilla groups based on their physical abilities. At 8:00 a.m. local time, the tourists proceed to various starting points for gorilla trekking, which can take 1 to 6 hours as the gorillas move within their habitat. Upon encountering the gorillas, you will have the opportunity to observe them, take photographs, and even mimic their calls. Later, you return to the point where their vehicle is before being transferred to the next part of the program. In the evening, you can visit the Ib’iwachu Cultural Village. The day concludes with a transfer to Lake Kivu, where they stay overnight. Lake Kivu is one of the deepest Albertine lakes in East Africa, and guests can enjoy views of the Nyiragongo Volcanoes in DR Congo.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali for city tour and departure
After breakfast, travelers return to Kigali. Their tour guide may take them on a city tour, including a visit to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site and the local handicrafts market. Finally, they proceed to the airport for their departure flight.
