Day 2: Masai Mara, Full Day.
After breakfast, you will go for morning and evening game drives within the Maasai Mara reserve. The Maasai Mara is renowned as Kenya’s foremost wildlife destination, boasting a remarkable variety of wildlife. This includes over 450 bird species, among which you can spot Kenya’s national avian emblem, the lilac-breasted roller bird. The landscape, adorned with acacia trees, presents a visually stunning backdrop where you’ll encounter a rich abundance of lions, elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, giraffes, genet cats, free-roaming antelopes, leopards, cheetahs, and black-manned lions.
You will embark on a journey to the renowned Mara River providing you with an opportunity to witness massive crocodiles sunning themselves. During the wildebeest migration, every year in June and July, this Mara River turns into a valley of death where only the strong survive. Zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests cross into Mara to seek greener pastures, but the crocodiles wait to feast on the weak ones.
