Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Day 1
Early in the day, energize with a hearty breakfast as you prepare for a transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Arriving at the park headquarters, seasoned guides offer a comprehensive briefing on gorilla trekking protocols. The trek unfolds as you explore the lush forest, spending up to an hour in the company of a gorilla family. A packed lunch amidst the forest’s enchanting surroundings is followed by a return to the lodge. Reflect on the day’s encounter during a group discussion, culminating in a satisfying dinner.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
Commence the day with a delicious breakfast, setting the stage for another gorilla trek. Venture into diverse landscapes, encountering a different gorilla family. A picnic lunch in the heart of the forest offers moments of serenity. The afternoon presents optional cultural or community activities, enriching your overall experience. Day 4: Exploration and Departure
Start the day with breakfast, followed by an optional visit to the Dian Fossey Tomb or a local community project, providing deeper insights into the region’s history and culture. Check-out from the lodge and journey back to Kigali. The afternoon offers optional activities, including a city tour or shopping.
