Day 0: Arrival

Upon arrival at the airport, our friendly representative will greet you and provide a transfer to a comfortable Nairobi hotel. Enjoy a well-deserved rest to prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. An evening orientation tour of Nairobi will be followed by a visit to the National Museum bird’s gallery for an enlightening lecture on birds. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Magadi

After a hearty breakfast, depart Nairobi for the southern side of Kenya, heading to the picturesque Lake Magadi. This soda lake, nestled in Maasai land, boasts an area of 104 sq. km and is surrounded by vast natural salt flats. Explore the lake’s shores, teeming with birdlife, and witness the spectacular sight of thousands of flamingos. Return to Nairobi in the evening for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

Embark on a scenic drive through the Great North Road, stopping at the viewpoints of the Great Rift Valley for breathtaking panoramas. Arrive at Lake Naivasha by mid-morning, where a bird walk awaits. Choose between a relaxing boat ride or a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park in the afternoon. Dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Lodge.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru

Leave Lake Naivasha in the morning for the renowned Lake Nakuru Park, a birdwatcher’s paradise. A game drive en route offers the opportunity to spot diverse wildlife before checking in at Lake Nakuru Lodge for lunch. Explore the park’s shores and marvel at the millions of pink flamingos. Dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park

Devote the entire day to birdwatching in Lake Nakuru National Park, with a chance to spot elusive species like the Leopard. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive to capture any sightings missed during the day. Dinner and another overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Lake Baringo

Depart for Lake Baringo in the morning, arriving in time for a mid-morning bird walk around the lodge. Lake Baringo, a freshwater lake, offers its own unique birdlife. Check-in at Lake Baringo Country Club for a relaxed lunch and enjoy an afternoon exploring the cliffs for bird sightings. Dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Baringo Country Club.

Day 6: Lake Baringo – Samburu National Park

Embark on a journey to Samburu National Park, known for its dramatic landscapes and unique wildlife. The park is home to Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx, and a variety of bird species. Lunch will be at Nanyuki Town, followed by an evening game cum bird viewing experience upon arrival at Samburu Lodge. Dinner and an overnight stay at Samburu Lodge.

Day 7: Samburu National Park

Dedicate the entire day to birdwatching in Samburu National Park, with an afternoon game drive to capture any missed sightings. Dinner and an overnight stay at Samburu Lodge.

Day 8: Samburu – Mount Kenya

Explore the Montane forest region around Mount Kenya, a haven for rare bird species. The day will be filled with birdwatching opportunities, including chances to see Green Ibis, Harrier Hawk, and various other unique species. Dinner and an overnight stay at Naro Moru River Lodge.

Day 9: Mount Kenya – Nairobi – Depart

After breakfast, journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy lunch at Pampa Grill Restaurant and a farewell dinner at the renowned Carnivore Restaurant. Later in the evening, transfer to the airport for your international departure, concluding this memorable birdwatching safari.
